Look at these photos.

Do I need to say anything else? I reckon the images alone are enough to explain why I bought it. If you don't know anything about the Fatip (pronounced fa-teeep) then you're probably thinking Wait, what? But surely, Dave Shaves, surely that must have cost an arm and a leg to acquire?

You can think that all you like, but the answer is no, it didn't. In fact, if you look here you'll see that it costs a little under £25. Under £25 for a razor that not only looks stunning and will take pride of place in any razor collection but performs really well too. I managed my first shave with this – loaded with a Feather blade – without nicking myself, which is unheard of as it usually takes at least one shave at the minimum for me to get the hang of a new razor.

It's an open-comb razor - pleasingly aggressive without being 1960s-London-gangland violent - and delivers a solid, smooth shave in three passes, even if you stand on one leg, like I frequently do when shaving.*

In brief: if you're in the market for a gold, open-comb safety razor that looks like a work of art in the shape of a shaving implement and doesn't break the bank, then this is for you. And you. And yes, you. * I don't do this.
