Two other interesting-looking razors plopped through the letterbox this week. Again, I won't be actually trying them out just yet* but here's a sneak preview of them:

The Shibumi kamisori-style straight razor This uses replaceable blades. I ordered the Shibumi while in Italy recently from the Italian site www.lalamadicollini.it. I'm a bit of a sucker for this kind of razor, being a fan of the Feather Artist Club non-folding kamisori-style straight razor.
This feels nicely weighted and I like the handle. The box it comes in is quite striking too. I can't say much more about it until I actually get to shave with it.
At the same time I ordered the Shibumi, I also ordered this ...

The Artero shavette
Cor. I would.
My only concern is that the bit where you place the half blade seemed a bit loose on first inspection. It improved once I'd inserted a blade as a test, but I'm a little worried that the blade might slip once I actually shave with it.
It comes nicely presented in a box**. Or presented in a nice box. Or nicely presented in a nice box. Take your pick.
* On account of still not having a proper bathroom to shave in. But we've been informed by the builder that it'll be completed - definitely, absolutely definitely - by the 15th November. Definitely. Absolutely. One-hundred percent.
** I mean, I know that doesn't automatically make the razor inside a great shaver, but a bit of nice packaging always goes down a treat with me.
